Prayer Challenge Day 28

May 28, 2020 By Church Login Leave a Comment

May 28

My Thoughts on Proverbs 28:

So much deals of this Chapter of Proverbs deals with rulers and leading. My prayer will really highlight that area today. However, verse 14 reads: Blessed are those who fear to do wrong… I think this pandemic has shown that the majority of people in this country still desire to do what right even in the midst of crisis.

My Prayer:

Lord,

You have used this pandemic to reveal our strengthens and our weaknesses as individuals, as communities and as a country. We will take those lessons and move forward trying to do better.

Lord, I pray for the safety of my friends and family. I pray for revival in the church and awakening in the nation.

But, Lord it is Verse 2: When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily.  But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability that drives me to my knees today. God there is so much moral rot in our nation today and this pandemic has really revealed it. God, I confess for myself when I have failed, I confess for my church that has failed to speak into a culture that continues to morally decline. I confess for my community that lives with consequences of moral rot; chaos. I confess for my country and corrupt leaders. God forgive us. Give us the fortitude to turn from our wicked ways and once again seek your face.

My heart is heavy, Lord I lament the loss of so much.

Amen.
