Day 15
Colossians 1:12: (HCSB) giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.
What Paul is saying is that God has in His sovereign grace made us worthy to receive the inheritance of a heavenly home. We are not qualified through our own efforts. God qualified us through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
The greatest blessing that we should be thankful for is the blessing of salvation.
Let’s pray:
Father God,
We do give thanks that You qualified us for heavenly home through Jesus Christ. We acknowledge we can do nothing to qualify ourselves. It is overwhelming to think of the great love, mercy and grace You have extended to us. We thank you, we thank you, we thank you.
In Jesus most precious name we pray, amen.
