My thoughts on Proverbs 3:
Once again Solomon provides a wealth of wisdom in this chapter. But, what stands out to me are verses 5 &6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Solomon beckons us to trust God not superficially, but solely. To trust God completely requires us to be confident in Him and it speaks to our relationship with Him. We usually don’t have a lot of confidence in people we don’t know or know very little about. The more we know God the greater our confidence, the more our trust in Him grows. We get to know God through His Word. It is my prayer that as you go through this May challenge that your relationship with God will deepen and you will grow more confident in Him.
My Prayer:
Holy Heavenly Father,
I come this day, seeking You and Your will in this pandemic. I don’t understand and help me through it. I ask that in this time of isolation and separation that You show me the path You have for my church and me. I pray that You just end this pandemic, but Thy will be done.
Father, I pray for our leaders. I pray verse 21 over them Lord, that they don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment as they deal with this crisis.
Lord, I pray verses 25-26 over my church, that we aren’t afraid in this disaster because you Lord are our security and will keep us. Father let us feel your presence and your peace to strength our faith so we won’t fear.
And, Lord verse 12 says You correct those you love. Father, help us to take those lessons of correction to heart during this time of separation that when we can gather to gather again that we will be revived. That we will be so renewed by Your Spirit that we just can’t help but share the Gospel and through the sharing of the Gospel our nation would once again experience a Great Awakening.
I pray these things in Jesus name. AMEN.
