My Thoughts on Proverbs 23:
Verse 4: Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit, really spoke to me today. One good thing to come from this pandemic and lockdowns it created is that people are reprioritizing what is important in life. Families have rediscovered the joy of being together instead rushing from one event to the next. We are reconnecting with loved ones and friends via phone and computer and catching up with each other. God does use bad things for good. We just need to trust him.
My Prayer:
Holy Heavenly Father:
As I pray today about the pandemic, I read Verse 5: In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle. Dear Lord, so many people I know are suffering economically. I pray for them Lord and ask that you end the pandemic.
I pray Verse 12: Commit yourself to instruction; listen carefully to words of knowledge, over my family and friends this day. I just pray that each of them deepen their relationship with You through Your Word.
Verse 1: While dining with a ruler, pay attention to what is put before you, reminds me to pay attention to our leaders and to pray that You give them Your wisdom. Guide them, Lord, through this time of crisis.
Lord, Verse 18 (NKJV) For surely there is a hereafter… It reminds me that because there is a hereafter, the church must once again boldly proclaim the Gospel. Dear God, revive Your church. Lord, I pray from those who don’t know You. Soften their hearts and open their ears to the Gospel so they may spend the hereafter with You.
I pray these things in Jesus name, Amen.
