Prayer Challenge Day 17

May 17, 2020 By Rob Cleeton Leave a Comment

May 17

My thoughts on Proverbs 17:

Verse 3: Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but the Lord tests the heart.

Wow! Does this verse speak to me today. The current pandemic has really tested us. Fearful people are rediscovering their faith. Churches are innovating in new ways to share the gospel. And, we are discovering which of our political leaders are simply politicians and those that are true leaders.

My Prayer:

Lord,

Once again I pray about the pandemic. I know you have purpose and I trust You. Give us strength individually and as a people as the pandemic continues to us.

Lord, I read verses 6: Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children and verse 17: A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. It reminds me of the importance of family and friends. I pray you protect them.

I do pray you give our leaders wisdom.

I pray for a revival in the church and an awakening in the nation.

I pray all these things in Jesus name. Amen.
