Prayer Challenge Day 15

May 15, 2020 By Rob Cleeton Leave a Comment

May 15

My Thoughts on Proverbs 15:

Today just going to let the Word of God guide my prayer

My Prayer:

Verse 1: A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. Lord, God as I reflect on the first verse of this passage I stop and pray for family and friends who are enduring several weeks of shelter-in-place. They grow impatient with cabin fever and lonely from isolation. Lord, I just ask that You just fill them with your presence and the peace that comes from being in Your presence. Just wrap your arms of love and comfort around them, Lord.

Verse 3:  The Lord is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good. Father, God, this verse reminds me You are in control. While this pandemic caught us by surprise it did not surprise You. I pray that through the trials and tribulations of this crisis that we will grow in our faith and grow closer to You. I pray that you end the crisis, Lord.

Verse 7: The lips of the wise give good advice; the heart of a fool has none to give. Lord, I pray for our leaders and especially those who advise those leaders during this time of crisis. I pray that You guide them to give good and wise advice both medically and economically.

Verse 29: The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayers of the righteous. Father God, I pray in this moment for all those who I know who are far from You, who have no relationship with You. Lord, I pray for redemption and reconciliation. Lord, I ask You to create opportunities that I might share the gospel with them.

Verse 33: Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor. Lord, I pray for my church and the North American church that You would revive us. Teach us to revere You again, make us wise and may we practice humility as we strive to honor You by ministering during this pandemic and economic crisis.

I pray all these things in Jesus Name. Amen.
