Prayer Challenge Day 12

May 12, 2020 By Rob Cleeton Leave a Comment

May 12

My thoughts on Proverbs 12:

What speaks to my heart from Chapter 12 is Verse 25: Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad. The pandemic has created much anxiety. There is anxiety about Covid-19, about the economy, and that we are nation divided. Solomon is right all that anxiety does weigh a man down. But, he is also right about a good word makes him glad. The best word I ever received was the gospel. The gospel tells me that God so loved us that he gave His only Begotten for us.  Faith is what conquers fear. The Bible says: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4: 6-7)

My Prayer:

Lord,

Once again I come praying for this to all end, the pandemic, the shelter-in-place. We are weary of it Lord. We ask that You give us strength to endure.

Lord, we pray for our leaders. Verse 15 says: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice. Too many of our leaders are doing what is right in their own eyes and not listening to sound advice. I think many times they are getting conflicting advice. Doctors advise one thing and economists advise something else. Lord, give our leaders wisdom and an iron will to do what is right.

I pray for my church and family. That the words we utter would not be rash and harmful, but hopeful and healing.

I pray for a revived church and an awaken nation. Lord, You have moved mightily in the past and You can again. I just pray that You do.

And, I pray all these things in Jesus name. Amen.
