Your word is lamp to my feet. Spending
time in the Bible, the Word of God, every
day, reminds me where I stand. I am a child
of God. I am dependent on Him for life,
every gift, and every blessing. He is my
rock, my salvation, and my ever-present
help in times of trouble. His Spirit prepares
my mind and heart for the events of the day.
He reveals His purposes and plans for my
life. He blesses me with His peace.
Your word…is a light to my path. Starting
my day in His Word keeps my mind and
heart sensitive to His leading. I am better
prepared for divine appointments. He
reassures me of His constant presence and
helps me be aware of how He is working in
and through my life during the day. Having
spent time with Him guides me through the
challenges of each day. He reminds me to
be the salt of the earth and the light of the
world wherever I go. I praise the Lord daily
for His love, His grace, and the gift of each
day.
Too often our testimony is about our
salvation experience, the day we first gave
our life and heart to the Lord. But that day
was just the beginning of our life with God.
Have we not had any interactions with God
since then? Do we not have a more recent
testimony of God’s provision, a divine
appointment, special blessing, or answered
prayer? Can we not speak of something God
is doing in our life at this moment? If not,
what does that reveal about our
relationship?
“Your word is (intended to be) a lamp to my
feet and light to my path (every day).”
Help me Lord, prepare for each day by
spending time with You through your Spirit
in your Word.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near
to you!” James 4:8
Blessed by you….Bro. Sherman
