Isaiah 12:4-5: And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. “Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.
The phrases, give thanks, call, make known, proclaim, sing encourage us as the community of believers to respond to God’s great salvation. Through praising God, His name is exalted in the community believers are reminded of God’s greatness. Isaiah gives us a practical way to worship and evangelize. When we focus on glorifying and praising God by singing and retelling His story we keep the focus on God and this spreads the Good News to others.
Let’s pray:
Oh God, we give thanks to You this day. We thank you for all you have done and all you are doing and all you are going to do. Put a song of thanksgiving and praise in hearts this day. Draw us close to you and let us feel the peace of Your presence in the midst of a chaotic world.
Thank you that you provided a way of reconciliation through Your Son. Thank you for making me a new creation and forgiving my past and giving me a heavenly future.
Thank You, Amen.
